Squeezing in as much fun as possible

With only a few days left until we leave for Japan, we’re trying to squeeze as much fun in the remaining days as possible. (Can you tell I like the Green Lantern?)

(For my Facebook readers, Facebook is horrible at displaying pics with it’s matching blog post. Please click the “view original post” link below to see pics properly.)

Although we’re excited about going to Japan, we’re leaving New Jersey a lot earlier than expected. So, we only have a few days left to do a lot of the things we had planned on doing.

We went to Six Flags yesterday, hoping to let Taj redeem a free pass he earned while participating in his school’s reading program. FYI: Always READ the fine print on anything “free.” (His pass wasn’t valid on the day we went. I was MAAAD!)

A thunderstorm cut short our visit to the amusement park, but not before I had my picture taken with the Green Lantern and The Flash. (Both of them appeared to be under the age of 20, making me feel really, REALLY old.)

Anyway, the race is on to cram as much fun in as we can before we leave. It’s easy to think of the obvious things (like fun-parks and other money-sucking activities,) but if you know of any unique, fun things to do in the area (that a young kid would enjoy,) I’m all ears!
