Back at Bagram … I need my internet fix!

Bagram Air Field, Afghanistan —
Finally back at Bagram, I plugged in my iPod headphones and zoned out while I surfed the net. Can you remember when there was no such thing?

Today I returned to Bagram after spending several nights at FOB Morales-Frazier with the French.

It was a tough few days, but I’m doing okay.

Aside from the action, my main concern while away from Bagram was the lack of internet! (The FOB doesn’t have personal internet connectivity, so I can’t plug in my Macbook and update the website.)

After I finished work in the office at Bagram, I went back to my b-hut to jump online. I was like a drug addict with my computer, making up for lost time on the internet by Twittering, Facebooking, and blogging away. I Skyped my mother, Grandmother, and of course, Muna and Taj. (I tried to reach Pie and Peaches, but they didn’t answer.)

Then, I just randomly surfed the ‘net … like I used to do at home before I got orders to the ‘stan.

Ahhh … THAT’s the stuff!
